Global Centre for Responsibility to Protect

The Global Centre for the Responsibility to Protect was established in February 2008 to promote universal acceptance and effective operational implementation of the norm of the "Responsibility to Protect" populations from genocide, war crimes, ethnic cleansing and crimes against humanity. Through its programs, events and publications, the Global Centre serves as a resource and a forum for governments, international institutions and non-governmental organizations working to protect populations from mass atrocities.

Asia Pacific Centre for the Responsibility to Protect

For the past 10 years, the Asia Pacific Centre for the Responsibility to Protect has engaged with partners across the region to protect vulnerable communities from atrocity crimes. Funded by The University of Queensland and the Australian Government's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the Centre works to develop regional expertise on atrocity prevention and establish links between regional and global institutions.

Johannesburg Holocaust & Genocide Centre

The Johannesburg Holocaust & Genocide Centre seeks to raise awareness of the evils of genocide with a particular focus on the Holocaust and the 1994 genocide in Rwanda, and to teach about the consequences of prejudice, racism, antisemitism, homophobia and xenophobia and the dangers of indifference, apathy, and silence to freedom and democracy.

Genocide Alert

Genocide Alert e.V. is a German human rights organization which advocates for the effective prevention and punishment of grave human rights violations such as genocide and crimes against humanity. Since its founding in 2007, Genocide Alert has conducted active political consultancy and public outreach with the aim of pushing Germany and the European Union towards a more responsible, solidary and human rights based foreign policy.

Montreal Institute for Genocide and Human Rights Studies

The Montreal Institute for Genocide and Human Rights Studies (MIGS) is Canada’s leading think tank working on the prevention of genocide, mass atrocity crimes and violent extremism.

United Nations Association – UK

Founded in 1945, the United Nations Association – UK (UNA-UK) is the country’s foremost advocate for UK action at the UN; the UK's leading source of analysis on the UN; and a vibrant grassroots movement of 20,000 people from all walks of life.

They work to build support for the UN amongst policymakers, opinion-formers and the public. They believe that a strong, credible and effective UN is essential if we are to build a safer, fairer and more sustainable world.

The Global Justice Center

The Global Justice Center (GJC) is an international human rights organization dedicated to advancing gender equality through the rule of law. They combine advocacy with legal analysis, working to expose and root out the patriarchy inscribed in so many international laws. They believe that enforcing treaties and international human rights laws can be a catalyst for radical change, moving these hard-won rights from paper to practice.

The Auschwitz institute for peace and reconciliation

The Auschwitz Institute for Peace and Reconciliation (AIPR) is building a world that prevents genocide and other mass atrocities. Through education, training, and technical assistance, AIPR supports States to develop or strengthen policies and practices for the prevention of genocide and other mass atrocities. AIPR also encourages and supports the cooperation of States through regional and international networks to advance prevention.

Global Citizen

Global Citizen is a movement of engaged citizens who are using their collective voice to end extreme poverty by 2030. On their platform (globalcitizen.org), Global Citizens learn about the systemic causes of extreme poverty, take action on those issues, and earn rewards for their actions — as part of a global community committed to lasting change.

STAND

STAND is the student-led movement to end mass atrocities. Born out of the fight to end the Genocide in Darfur, Sudan, STAND is devoted to creating a sustainable student network that actively fights genocide and mass atrocities wherever they may occur. By creating political will, STAND strives to hold elected officials accountable for preventing and ending genocide and mass atrocities, and by supporting young peacebuilders in conflict-affected and post-conflict countries, they help communities build resistance to conflict. STAND is the only student-led organization focused on genocide and atrocity prevention.

In Defence of Christians

In Defense of Christians (IDC) is a non-profit and non-partisan human rights and advocacy organization based in Washington DC. IDC advocates for a Middle East in which the rights of every person are protected and respected regardless of religious creed, and in which the ancient and diverse Christian and other religious minority communities of the Middle East thrive peacefully in their native lands.

IRAQI CHRISTIAN RELIEF COUNCIL

The Iraqi Christian Relief Council's mission is to educate the people around the globe about persecution of Assyrians, Chaldeans and Syriac Christians of Iraq, ask for prayers, and raise funds to support their basic humanitarian needs and partake in rebuilding their lives in a concrete and a meaningful way.

The Religious Freedom Institute

The Religious Freedom Institute is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organisation committed to achieving broad acceptance of religious liberty as a fundamental human right, the cornerstone of a successful society, and a source of national and international security.

FReedom House

Freedom House is an independent, nonpartisan organization dedicated to the expansion of democracy and freedom around the world. They analyze the challenges to freedom, advocate for greater political rights and civil liberties, and support frontline activists to defend human rights and promote democratic changes.

Schlomo Organisation for Documentation

Shlomo Organization for Documentation is an independent, non-profit, civil organization that provides services to all citizens without discrimination, and seeks to create a community awareness of the concepts of human rights through the definition of these concepts and the response to all cases of violations through monitoring, documentation and raising awareness of the community.

RASHID International e. V

RASHID International e.V. is a worldwide network of archaeologists, cultural heritage experts and lawyers dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the cultural heritage of Iraq, ancient Mesopotamia. They are committed to developing the history and archaeology of Iraqi cultures, for they believe that understanding the past is key to addressing the present and to building a prosperous future.

The Digital Cultural Heritage Research Group, Sulaimani Polytechnic University

The Digital Cultural Heritage (DCH) research group is an interdisciplinary research group based at the Sulaimani Polytechnic University (SPU) in Sulaimani city, the cultural capital of Kurdistan Region of Iraq and a key region in humanity’s pre-history achievements.

DCH undertakes state-of-art research and projects in the confluence of cultural heritage and digital technologies through bringing together local and international scholars from different fields and geographic locations.

Through various training and networking activities, DCH informs, trains, and connects its scholars, members, and local community with the latest in the field.

The Society for Threatened Peoples

The Society for Threatened Peoples (STP) has been campaigning for over 50 years for the rights of threatened minorities and against grave human rights violations. They research and document human rights violations. They work directly with those affected. And they denounce grievances with governments and at the United Nations.

The situation of the Yazidis and Yazidi women in particular has been a focus of the STP for years. Some of the organization’s partners are Nobel laureate Nadia Murad, Aurora Prize laureate Mirza Dinnayi and psychologist Jan Ilhan Kizilhan.

Roads Of Success (ROS) is a humanitarian non-profit organization striving to empower, advocate for and provide humanitarian aid to persecuted minorities and women in the Middle East and globally.

The Jiyan Foundation

The Jiyan Foundation for Human Rights is a non-governmental human rights organization based in Kurdistan, Iraq and Germany. Since 2005, the Jiyan Foundation has been providing support to survivors of human rights abuses in Kurdistan and Iraq. Today, the Jiyan Foundation runs a network of eleven trauma rehabilitation centers in north Iraq, including special departments for traumatized women and children, a clinic for Yazidi women who survived enslavement by the so-called Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), services for juvenile detainees and female prisoners, rights and justice and a human rights education program.

tHe Blue Shield

The Blue Shield is a network of committees of dedicated individuals across the world that is “committed to the protection of the world’s cultural property, and is concerned with the protection of cultural and natural heritage, tangible and intangible, in the event of armed conflict, natural- or human-made disaster.”(Article 2.1, Blue Shield Statutes 2016).

AMAR International

AMAR International is a charity that has been rebuilding and improving the lives of some of the world’s poorest and most disadvantaged people for the last 27 years. It provides comprehensive and sustainable medical and education programmes. The vast majority of its staff are locally trained and educated in the Middle East.

Following the ISIS invasion of Iraq in 2014, AMAR teams delivered frontline emergency services, including psycho-social support, to many hundreds of thousands of Yazidis through their purpose-built clinics in the IDP camps in the Kurdish region of Northern Iraq.

VOICE OF EZIDIS

Voice of Ezidis, established in France in 2019, works on preventing and ending discrimination towards the Ezidi community. “We want the voice of Ezidis to count in the world and to have the opportunities that were taken away from us and live in a world where no genocide can happen.”

Zentralrat der Êzîden in Deutschland (Central Council of Yazidi in Germany) is a federation of more than 30 Yazidi organisations and cultural associations in Germany.

TURKMEN RESCUE FOUNDATION

Turkmen Rescue Foundation is an NGO concerned with defending human rights particularly for Turkmen and minorities by using all democratic tools.

AEGIS TRUST

The Aegis Trust, founded in 2000, is a British NGO which campaigns to prevent genocide worldwide.

LUFTBRueCKE IRAK

Air Bridge Iraq (Luftbrücke Irak) is a German based humanitarian organisation to treat Iraqi childern and terror victims in Germany, especially women and children who were victimized by ISIS. It was founded in 2007 by Aurora prize Laureate Mirza Dinnayi as well as Michael Clasen and Berward Toennes.

TRAUMA TREATMENT INTERNATIONAL

Trauma Treatment International (TTI), is an international non-profit working to improve access to trauma treatment for the victims of torture, trafficking, slavery and war. TTI works in partnership with organisations that support traumatised communities, building their skills in the most effective trauma treatments, providing direct assistance and capacitating them to work more effectively to end trauma.

World Federalist Movement - Institute for Global Policy

World Federalist Movement - Institute for Global Policy (WFM-IGP) campaigns to establish and strengthen multilateral frameworks and approaches in order to effectively address transnational challenges, including violent conflict, mass atrocities, and impunity. WFM-IGP uses a coalition model to amplify the impact of civil society organizations, particularly through its Coalition for the International Criminal Court (CICC) and International Coalition for the Responsibility to Protect (ICRtoP) programs.

The International Coalition for the Responsibility to Protect (ICRtoP) is a global network of civil society organizations dedicated to advancing the responsibility to protect (RtoP) at the international, regional, sub-regional, and national levels. ICRtoP members come from every region and different sectors, including conflict prevention, international justice, human rights, women’s issues, and humanitarian assistance. ICRtoP is a program of the World Federalist Movement - Institute for Global Policy (WFM-IGP).

Assyrian Policy Institute

The Assyrian Policy Institute is a nonprofit human rights and advocacy organization which supports Assyrians as they struggle to maintain their rights to the lands they have inhabited for thousands of years, their ancient language and cultural identity, equal opportunities in education and employment, and to full participation in public life.

Eziden Weltweit e. V. - Ezidis Worldwide

Eziden Weltweit e. V. - Ezidis Worldwide is a global Ezidi non-governmental organization (NGO) registered in Germany. It was founded in 2015 by a community of Ezidi activists from Germany to raise the awareness about the situation of Ezidis and other persecuted minorities in Europe, Syria, Iraq and Turkey. It cooperates with other NGOs from Europe, the USA and other countries. The mission of Eziden Weltweit e. V. - Ezidis Worldwide is to establish and coordinate an humanitarian program for the families arriving, who managed to escape from the “Islamic State” (IS) and support orphans, students and ill internally displaced persons.

tulay ngo for Turkmen affaires

Tulay NGO for Turkmen Affairs works in conflict areas to support the Turkmen people. In addition they are working on rescuing kidnapped Turkmen women, support survivors and securing justice for crimes perpetrated against Turkmen community by ISIS.

Families of the Missing

Families of the Missing assist and empower families of missing persons who face tremendous social, economic, legal, and cultural challenges in their search for the truth as to the fate of their missing family member, while maintaining the family unit, and finding closure to move forward as productive members of society.

Yazidi Legal network

We are a community of Yazidis, lawyers, human rights activists, law students and anyone interested in justice for the Yazidis. Our mission is to support Yazidis who seek accountability for international crimes committed against them. We cooperate with national and international accountability mechanisms, NGO’s and legal experts and work towards recognition of the harm suffered and reparations for the victims.

Our mission is to facilitate the Canadian refugee sponsorship program and provide aid and assistance to refugees and immigrants in need.  This includes providing education, counseling and other support services for immigrants and refugees to assist in their integration into Canadian culture and life.
